I can't win can I?

Now sure if I can say if I should be more upset with myself or just how things are processed. I have little money.

All of this could've been avoided if I just had been more observant, but I rushed because I was too determined. This often happens. I rush because I wanted to do something so badly, and I was upset with being too distracted. I would have a plan laid out, but it isn't effective or isn't agreeable because I did not see holes. I did not one single important detail. That one detail or two would elude me for some reason.

And this is often the route to embarrassment.

....I would've been less upset if I had known sooner.

Back to square one. I hate myself sometimes.

On the good side: D.GRAYMAN has returned.

Next year, this blog will be ten years old.

I am surprised. I suddenly thought of this entry because I lost my temper Monday again, and I remember saying that I don't like complaining a lot about personal problems because of a few reasons. One of them being that it shows how you're like on a social level. It can show your real self. Also, ranting won't change it.

But I guess I like telling myself, "Don't ever do what this other person is doing".

Maybe the reasons are under my "ugly side" tag somewhere.

Looking back, I can't seem to remember anything blatantly discriminatory. As in, putting it down on text.

"Racism", "misogyny", "homophobia" (even though [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants may disagree), "antisemitism", "xenophobia", anything with bigotry.

Or is anti-teen pregnancy = misogyny?

Majority of it was teen pregnancy. I guess "ageism" is discrimination too? The other is criticizing religion. Atheism? I don't know. I don't recall directly saying that "I don't believe in God", but my biggest issue is what religion can do to people's egos and that it's commonplace. So commonplace that what is considered "good", or what bibles and scripts say can be interpreted differently. Also, religion has its own sense of bigotry, or maybe that is our fault?

So ageism and atheism?

Which reminds me, Reasons of Anti-Semitism. I still don't get why anti-jew exists. There is this survey:

More than a quarter of the world is anti-Semitic

One quarter of adults worldwide 'deeply infected' with Anti-semitism

I am happy to be naive sometimes.

My week starts rough and ends rough. I had an ugly 'hate dream", which I didn't want to agree on, and my Sunday started rocky. Now I wonder about myself, and if my dream reflects myself. Or didn't I say before that dreams are mostly negative?

I almost didn't want to go anywhere.

Anyways...back to the title.

America is, apparently. And Britain isn't happy.

I'm sure most of us dislike war for obvious reasons, and either inside or stated openly, we have conflicting reasons over why we should go or why we should not go. First I thought, I agreed with what John Kerry said Liberals liberals, Lib-tards, whiners, dumbass, huah huah huah with "speaking to us [the people of the nation] for an answer" at the start of the announcement. I couldn't hear everything because I was in my car on a short break, listening to the radio.

Did America, and myself as an American, wanted payback for 9/11? Yes. Do I dislike violence? Yes. Do I like self-defense? Yes. Do I like to see innocent children and medical personnel get killed? NO! A one-track mind. Even in Hetalia (Axis Powers ヘタリア), America is portrayed with a "justice loving" stereotype. There's also a ton of other Japanese manga/anime and games; one that sticks out in my memory the most is my bro GALFORD from Samurai Showdown (Samurai Spirits) series! =D

But the question is: Why help Syria? Is America the Superman of the world?
And what would our image be if we did nothing?

Oh BTW,

More tipping politics scale. No idea why I was rambling about mentality )

I am not denying anything. I guess someone has to do it. Right needs to punch the Left radicals and Left needs to the punch the Right radicals. Wouldn't call it "news".

With that said, 50 years ago, MLK made his "I have a dream" speech.

I'm putting up a photo of Kaze Tachinu because:
1.) Airplane!
2.) Hirokoshi Jiro looking cool
3.) It's flat out cool
4.) Miyazaki Hayao's passion and pacifist beliefs
5.) I want to watch it

So Miyazaki is getting criticized for worshiping Hirokoshi as a hero. The movie is a tribute to the warplane engineer, his dream, and his struggle during the Depression and 1930s earthquake. Miyazaki spoke against the Prime Minister and his idea to revise the Renunciation of War of Japan's Constitution. Miyazaki was also against "re-writing the truth" (aka: reading only what we choose to know).

Banning of "Barefoot Gen" in children schools

I can't say anymore until I watch the movie. But, since Hiro was willingly building warplanes responsible for the historical incidents that make Japanese and Koreans alike sensitive, what is Miyazaki's view? What am I missing? Is it just Hiro's desire? No matter what his Zero fighter did?

Vehicles are flexible and don't have to be built as weapons. Even though, I TOO think that fighter planes are pretty darn cool. They maximum the effectiveness of aerodynamics, and look pretty sexy while flying.

Also, Miyazaki is retiring? Naaaaah, you wouldn't do that would you?

Which reminds me, I am writing a fictional story about a pilot who loves flying. He graduated from Officer's training and eventually became a fighter pilot, because he was inspired to love fighter planes. After a match against a rival, he mention that non-simulated air combat will be the test he needs to further pursing his flying craft. Before that, he questioned why America went to war and what did it mean to "be an American"?

Seiyuu-related entry!

Just something to pass boredom, and I need to practice in using Powerpoint, Task Manager, and Excel much more. The question is how? During my free time, I try to employ them into writing, like for collecting data. Sometimes I get so deep into it, I make graphs for characters or timelines.

Anyways, I was browsing for roles on Ishida Akira (ie: main characters) and found these links with opinions on Voice quality compatibility. The page creator is named "YUZU" (ユズ). In the link, for each gender, Yuzu lists six different categories to describe the voice quality. The qualities are scaled on a radar graph in clockwise:

MALE:
Choices: Furuya Toru, Nobutoshi Kanna, Suyama Akio, Midorikawa Hikaru, Koyasu Takehito, Kamyia Akira, Okiayu Ryotaro, etc
「少年らしさ」:Boy
「熱血さ」:Passion (quoting, "Simply put, "Super robot anime or Sports maniac suitability in old days")
「クールさ」:Cool
「色気」:Sexy/H voice
「渋さ」: Elderly voice/astringent
「コミカルさ」:Comical (Gag)

FEMALE:
Choices: Koyama Mami, Ohara Noriko, Hidaka Noriko, Hayashibara Megumi, Fucami Rica, Mitsuishi Kotono, Han Keiko, Koorogi Satomi, etc
「少年」:Boy voice.
「子供」:Child voice. Usually 12 and under
「少女」: Girl voice. Usually arouns 12 - 17
「お姉」:Big sister like. Usually around 18 - 20
「熟女」:Attractive woman. Usually over 20yo
「ギャグ」:Gag. Comical/joke type.

Looking over the opinions, or from what I can gather, I found myself nodding to most of them. They look impartial, and Yuru refers to notable roles, comments from doujinshi authors and encyclopedias (for voice actors?).

I especially agree about Furuya Toru, who is considered to have a "cool or oppressed boy voice" (the latter meaning the type you want "to mistreat") voice type. Listening to Amuro, you'd think the voice quality was a little shy? Not to say that his role selections are inappropriate; because he has a general young voice, he is often in the lead. Surprisingly to me, Furuya's "comical" score is low. Recently, I think Furuya's "sex appeal" has increased ;)

For the ladies, I didn't see one for K-sensei (Katsuki Masako). Since I had fun looking at the graphs, I thought I could make one. What do I think? I thought to myself, "what I do really think of her voice quality?"

My graph is rated 0 - 40; there is no "zeros" so it'll look like four ratings/lines. Let's do it with grade letters, from lowest to highest: E (0), D (10), C (20), B (30) A (40).

So here's mine:

I'd complain but I don't feel like it right now. What do you think?

doggiedynasty: (u so fun-neh)
I have two days of the seiyuu meme that I have to do, but I'm blogging about something else.

I define "rant" as criticism with extreme emotion. I'm not that angry today though, but I'm just ....bloated?

I'm surprised that it's Friday; nothing happened last night, but I felt like something needed to get out of my system.

I guess it started on Plurk where I was introducing myself to those who recently added me to their friend list. As I did, my roleplaying game history crossed my mind. When you're young, you can develop faster, but you don't have much to stand on. Not much knowledge and comprehension. Online, I started off in D&D; years later, I entered text-based play-by-post games. The majority of my RPing was online; but, I enjoyed writing before that.

And it was just a terrible experience. The beginnings were terrible; chatroom was terrible.

All of this was inspired by some uneasy thought I had last night. We should prevent "psychological scars". Why do you think people grow up as jerks because they learn that from others. They end up unforgiving, and assume that payback and showing off your chest is better than anything.

I really have a trigger for pompousness. For arrogance. If I want to thank those guys from the online RP games for something, that is to learn not behave the same way.

But this isn't restricted to just "gaming", but communities as a whole. Maybe that's why I was bothered last night because I received too many online abuse. Fighting for my defense, the result doesn't end up in my favor.

Now I believe that I can't debate or think out of the box, that I can't express my thoughts safely, that my words are too confusing, that I have little logic, and that I can't fix any of it.

Or maybe I just hate to lose, and being told that I'm wrong, virtually all the time.

When I say the words "maybe" and "but" too much, it shows a lot of uncertainty.

What is right and wrong?

Aside from that, good weather lately until tomorrow. Apparently there's snow and freezing rain coming my way. I've been trying to keep myself occupied; my MS Office knowledge is starting to slip away from me so if anyone asked me something about MS Word, I probably wouldn't remember. It's not like, aside from RPG or fiction writing, I have no important way to use it.

Somehow, while looking up vids on youtube, I AGAIN became curious about Capital Punishment (which Michigan does not have) and thought of the old question "what was the best way to execute people?". I believe I talked about the electric chair before and I read about its failures.

So, my next thought was "being beheaded". Decapitation!

This comes to the age-old Guillotine, cutting the head by using a sharp blade with gravity. I naively thought that it would be a perfect C.P device, but each device should have its mistakes. What could be the guillotine's? I don't mean like "it shouldn't be used because we see it".

I'm thinking how it can fail in killing the convict quickly. What could it be? I never looked it up yet.

What if it failed to cleave through the neck for example (get stuck)? Or maybe you can stretch out your neck in between the locks and that makes the blade miss were it should cut?

Something like that.

I noticed I'm into driver's safety. Of course, I had, and I said HAD, radical radical thoughts that teen drivers shouldn't exist cause of prejudice and stereotyping. But, then how would they get to work or college? Still, the main message I'd like to pass is to be a very considerate driver and not treat a car like a play toy. Also, let's avoid drunk driving/dope driving.

I always had an high interest in cars. Been that way since kid days with motor sports.

Now I see why I like History so much.

It's nothing but a big web. It is entangled to economics, war, anthropology, evolution/progress, politics, etc. And it must explain why I get enticed by all of those too.

Back then, what were we into? Trade, fighting, absorbing different cultures into our own...conquering, etc. I think I read this everywhere, and it shows how people think. I guess that's what I like: The aspect of People .

This Week's Economy Vocab: Revenue and Capital

First step to getting rid of ignorance is to restore interest in the subject.

And I finally watched the first ep of Gundam Unicorn a while back.

====

I had another terrible dream like four days ago? If I recall, it was something equivalent to a hostage roundup in my family (basically, terrorism...); it was during the night too, that made me more scary.

Anyways, I read the first book of BACCANO: The Rolling Bootlegs. It was fun and I wish I could read more of it. I also wish I could have more patience to read. I read a book, I like it, but I can't get myself to finish for some reason.

When I come back, I'm going to try to summarize what I wrote.

Also, I watched a compilation of music themes from Gundam Series.

I didn't know the theme for F91, "ETERNAL WIND〜ほほえみは光る風の中〜 (Hohoeme ha hikaru kaze no naka)" was really popular. I'm glad, it's really nice. Feels sad too. I think I'll watch F91 when interested.

BEYOND the TIME is damn awesome too. I liked the majority of them.

I didn't expect to like the themes of Z Gundam either.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara_Falls,_Ontario#Sites_of_interest

http://www.marinelandcanada.com/

Because I am into family trips, I went to Niagara Falls (Ontario Canada side) with parents. It took about four hours to get there by car. They told me a lot about the Falls because before I was born, they went to the Falls and haven't been back since. And of course, a lot has changed. They told me about a Waxhouse too, and how mom met the late Sandy Allen (Tallest [American] woman). Aside from how a lot of things were expensive in Canada, missing sites, and rainy weather throughout the weekend, I had a fun time. The Falls themselves are pretty Godly. Enough mist over there to intimidate you.

Older sister and my nieces was going to come along but it didn't work out.

Part 1 )

Oh yeah, there is something called an Incline Elevator.

Part 2 )

At the end of Sunday, everybody but mom went on the Ferris Wheel just in time to see fireworks over the falls.

Back from Illinois/trips (t-storms)
It is Wednesday now, but I returned Monday (a little after midnight) to Michigan. Thursday, the power went out for the second time thanks to a T-storm so it was difficult to pack. So I tidied the place on Monday. I went on a trip with family, including aunts, older sister, and brother in life.

My aunt told me that she saw Transformers 3 filming around downtown Chicago, even Shia LeBeouf. And that was the reason why there was a ton of Saturday traffic. Lucky, I was around Milwaukee Street and Michigan Avenue and saw nothing! I heard that they'll be filming in Detroit too. Don't tear it up too much and no crashing into the Renaissance center.

Father said he never took me to Niagara Falls so I may be going there next month?

On the trip, and shortly before leaving I realized a few things: That I have trouble accepting the influence of God after seeing the behavior of other believers, that I have no patience for the very conceited, and really just don't have much faith period.

I should leave it that. Religion can be a sharp subject.

Reading
I wanted to regain a stronger ambition in a hobby.

Rented a bunch of books to see whether reading not only increases your knowledge but supports brain muscle. My issue has been that I thought that I had a bad memory and understanding. One book is on Detective fictions; it could be a lack of focus, thanks to noise and such, but I find myself having to read sentences over and over. I think I only reached twenty pages in just one hour or more than that. I also get annoyed when I see words that I can't remember or don't know the meaning to it at all. Maybe the sentences feel long-winded.

Despite the trouble, it made me remember a little why reading books is fun.

Entertainment
Here's some voice actor/actor stuff that I came across. Let's start with Katsuki (♡), and her revenge! I've been a little concerned because I have few ways of figuring out where she appears. But! According to 81 PRODUCE, Masako will appear in the Japanese dubbed version of Cats and Dogs 2: Revenge of Kitty Galore. And it turns out, that is she is Kitty Galore herself. "HA! HA! HA!"

You know what I love about this? Kitty is voiced by Bette Midler (♡) in english version. That's not all. I couldn't help but I remember something way back, whether it was here or elsewhere, when I had said how much Katsuki REALLY LOOKS like Bette Midler! Coincidence?. Another cool person, Tessho Genda will voice Butch! BUTCH!

The Japanese site has a trailer too. I felt like I heard Takagi Wataru in there too! Speaking of him!

This is slightly old, but he appears in the Japanese dubbed version of the game ALAN WAKE. He voices Barry Wheeler. Takagi does plenty of dubbing, game voices, animation, I can't keep up.

Kazuya Nakai...there is something that has been long on my mind but didn't mention - How I'm affected by "dubbing syndrome".

Mr. Swordsman Nakai plays Travis Touchdown in the game No More Heroes, the Heroes Paradise version for the XBOX360. While his voice and others weren't bad, I feel a sense of incongruity too much. You hear the English version too much, and you expect Travis to sound like a complete teenage dork. Second thought, he was well portrayed in THAT fashion, a tough teenage punk. Nakai..well, was not that. Entertaining though. Isn't that the most important? At the VERY LEAST, Nakai plays a moron well enough so I won't fully bash it.

The bosses were strange as hell too! Holly Summers is voiced by Fumiko Orikasa, who originally sounded tough. She sounds more seductive in Japanese. Second thought, she does sound like she can lead you easily into a trap ;) (I'm looking at you Travis). Sylia and Shinobu sounds fine I think. I think Bad Girl (Sanpei Yuko) is right...

I don't expect them to imitate the original probably have Takeshi Kusao/Fukuyama Jun all the darn time to voice these Justin Timberlake/Chris O'Donnell brats.

MAPLESTORY: Enter the Shadows!
http://maplestory.nexon.net/

On Maplestory, the ninja-like Dual Blades (explorer type) appear on Global version! I already have a name for mine in mind: shinpūji yai. Many of my names are English and based off of something with virtue or nobility. So far, I have an explorer (Fighter), A cygnus knight (archer), and an evan.

For Shinpuuji, I think it fits nice. The name is from three symbols: 真風司. Dictionaries are fun.

The first means "true", second means "wind", and the third means I think for an officer. Something like to preside or manage? "Yai" is from Yaiba, meaning blade.

There's a ton of bugs and maintanence, so I'll make one tommorow morning.

QUEST: Carson's Fundamentals of Alchemy
In defining the basics of Alchemy, two terms come into play: ciculation and exchange. Circulation is the theory that the elements that compose the material chances under the same set of rules. To use an example, it would be like water turning into a tree, the tree into fire, fire into sand, sand into gold, gold back into water. This is the very basic part of alchemy, one that defines the basic composition for everything in this world.

Exchange is a little bit different from circulation. Circulation seals with power that chanves the characteristics within the boundaries, but exchange deals with the concept of a constant amount of a particular composition. No item can be created from nothing, and the same goes true for alchemy. It can't be used to create something that never existed before. The core of alchemy deals with processing the existing materials to change into something new.

Hughes's Basic Theroy of Science
Welcome. Moren told me the story. I'm a busy man, so I don't know why he's asking me to do this. What do you think about science? I've never thought about it, and for him to ask me to teach you the fundamentals of cience is ludicrous, no?

Actually, science is not really a hard concept to understand. It's all blended into our daily lives. Look at this machine. Do it look complex? No well science is the same. Too bad the general population is scared of it. They have this perception that science is too difficult to understand. I emphatically reject that thought.

Think about it. It's all about understanding and working towards understanding the concept. It's all about understanding the concept, overcoming it, then understanding it once more! That's the essence of science. Do you understand? Really, do you? Physics theory? Equations? Experiments? That's all nonsense. That's not what's important!

I thought I had it figured out. You know the number postfixes for aircraft (ie: X-53, F-18, A-10)? I wondered how they were ordered.

I thought of two things:

1.) the numbers had to do with how many different aircraft models were accepted into each military component (ie: Air force, navy, marines) .

2.) Amount of models designed by a single manufacturer through the years (it: boieng, McDonnel, GD)

but either doesn't seem to be the case.

For example, the F-16 had its first flight in the late 1970s, but the F-111 was designed and comissioned to the U.S Air Force in the 1960s. Both are ships from GD, or General Dynamics.

Other than that, it was a nice sunny day. Hopefully the upcoming week will turn out good.
