Hoh boy.
While I OBVIOUSLY think it could use some additions, like Furuya Toru and Furukawa Toshio (who are often associated with Tanaka Mayumi and Nozawa Masako), I think this is a nice list. I admire the energy and personality of Toshio, Kappei, and Tanaka.
I'm glad Hirata (surprise!) and Kappei are on there as well. Ogata Kenichi (who I call "Uncle Ogata" ;) ) is on there too, and many others. And even Sugiyama Kazuko!
Yamadera Kouichi seems to be No.1 everywhere.
...It's just that I'm surprised by the comments on MyAnimeList (MAL). Animenewsnetwork (ANN) isn't so bad, but MAL is awful.
The comments on there can get pretty disrespectful, and it shows the shallowness of some people if that's the right word. It's true that veterans get hired less (I'm still surprised that Hirata got to play the main character of TIger & Bunny, KOTARO!), but I think it's further worse to say something along the lines of "old people?" (along the super worshiping of Wakamoto Norio).
It's surprising enough to see avid anime fans or so it looks like saying, "I don't know most of the people on the list"...
I WAS fine with that, but some behave like as if those who are ranked high are insignificant because of their low frequency in CURRENT anime, radio, etc.
It is pretty funny though, seeing people getting worked up.
ANN's problem is the lack of Romi Paku. ;P

Date: 2011-08-28 01:39 pm (UTC)But then this is "poll" by current seiyuu for their most likely inspirational peers right? SO clearly there would be no OnoD, HiroC, Mamo-chan, right?
But ppl of the net are both stupid and well very stupid. Rude, immature, etc etc. I'm not even going to look at the comments. I think I'd get huge R-A-G-E. And than explode and ruin the day for myself. -____-
Don't get me wrong.. i'd love to see a list filled w my favs, but that would be a personal one clearly. XD

Date: 2011-08-28 02:09 pm (UTC)Clearly. But of course, people complain about how they don't see Koyasu, KugiRie, RomiPaku, Hirano, etc. Then again, people like Nakai and Hirata (well, less of a vet tenure-wise, compared to many of the people listed) are selected.
Here's something more on the picks: http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/onegai-gold/updated/110827/#project01

Date: 2011-08-28 06:46 pm (UTC)Ah well, it's their choices.
Not sure what it is, but when it comes to skilled VA, naming people off the top of their head such as Hayashibara, Hidaka, Nozawa, and Yamadera is not surprising.
Even Animage ranks Hayashibara and Yamadera pretty high (but also there ones that I listed. Ie: Ogata, Toshio, Furuya, etc).
One thing does concern me: what 100 people did they ask? On the TV Ayashi site, they have nine (apparently out of the selected 100 picked) in a photo. All those nine are ranked ;) Like Hidaka, Hirata, Nozawa, Yamadera and OgataKen.

Date: 2011-08-29 04:21 pm (UTC)Just how many official seiyuu are there? I have a list of 100 on my blog somewhere, mixed with old and new names, so I'm sure it's quite a lot.
It may not be entirely biased, but with the hiring cost of veterans and the different genres (ie: narration, anime, tokusatsu, japanese dubbing, etc), there seems to be some segregation.
