doggiedynastyThis feels like the slowest week ever. 2011 starts off crappy for me but I should try to look ahead. Mom had a little talk with me about Faith and Karma, so...okay.

I reached up to episode 25 yesterday of MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM (*Salute*) and I am taking a break. Definitely not my type to watch like approx ten episodes in a single day.
And idiots need to stop threatening Justin Bieber because he is dating, or maybe its the one he's dating that is getting the threats. Frankly, I don't find him fascinating, but the dislike base he has built does have to do with some of the radical fans.
BACCANO Impressions
MAIN ARTICLE: BACCANO (Italian for Ruckus)
I'll just make a "small" summary on the first book as how I can recall it.
SPOILERS!
Many years ago, alchemists summoned a demon on a boat and gained glorious Immortality. But that made them targets of one another.
So the first book was called The Rolling Bootlegs. I don't know how I got into it at first, I didn't think I would be interested. I guess after some talk with a fan of the TV animation, I've decided to check it out. I was a little irritated at my "reading laziness" but I eventually got to the end and liked it. Problem is I can't recall names (like some of the Martillo subordinates, the detective) or Italian Cammora titles.
Anyways, here's who/what we have:
New York in the Prohibition Era
Martillo Family
Gandor Brothers
Genoardthe Dicks Family
Alchemists (old men, mainly Szilard)
Issac and Miria
And the Immortality Wine.
The stories start off with first person (and one of the wine brewers who worked with Szilard methinks would speak out through his thoughts during the narrative. Probably the only confusing part), but the story comfortably switches the perspectives of the different cast. Because, through accident, they become connected together...all because of the Wine of Immortality. It was put into a box but it kept getting moved around.
Issac and Miria, these two crazy thieves of justice, come to New York to steal from bad people...say, like gangs? I think they got hit by Ennis's car and totally lived. I also found it great when they fought the Genoard family by disguising themselves. Haha, Issac as Sherlock Holmes from the dead.
Of course, there's the Martillo Family (Cammora family who owns a bar that sells honey? I -said- Cammora), who carry a main character vibe to them, especially Firo Prochaneizo (is that his name?). Firo is a very young man, and I swear, because of the way he knew how to fight, I thought he was Immortal already when he first appeared. Took out this jerk with a knife in his bag and he trashed the Genoards too. Not to mention, he got promoted. And apparently, Firo's an atheist. There's also his nice mentor Maiza Avaro.
The mostly focused char of the Genoards is Dallas (And his goons). He and Szilard are probably the biggest bastards in the book. He becomes Immortal when Szilard ejected the wine in him and wanted to use them.
Gandor Brothers, are Luck (composed), Keith (mute?), and Berga (big guy). Berga is...very scary. There's a nice tension scene with..I think the Gandor's former banker. Felt bad for that guy.
That creep old man Sziliard is one of the Boat Alchemist that wants to create the Wine of Immortality. He has so much "experience" and power; he also created Ennis.
In the last chapter, Martillo were getting slaughtered by Szilard. Made me feel a bit sad, but that and Dallas killing the guys at Gandor HQ felt bona fide gangster drama to me. Or maybe a Quentin Tarantino movie.

In the next book is a weird guy addicted to death, Lasso (1/11/2011 edit: Ladd). And it's "White Suits" vs "Black Suits" Unfortunately, I can't read much into it.
Tokyo Youth Development Ordinance Bill
To tell you the truth, this is so radical, I kind of wonder how this will twist things. And when I'm curious, I get excited. It's a bad side of me.
Does that mean more censorship? Like, no bath scenes for youth characters in TVs, comic, and games (goodbye dating games....)? Or, maybe, like no well-endowed teens? No kids flirting each other? What? What is the Tokyo committee offended from? And what gave them the idea that "sexual stimulating" material will compel a youth to commit suicide?
I have a feeling a lot of people will go to jail...
I can -understand- Rape and torture. Not very cool. I try to stay away from it, or if it just appears (like in serious drama), I just wince or turn it off. Ninja Scroll had awful rape (Why Tessai...!??!?! *trauma*) but I thought it was a great movie though. It was ballsy!oh, I was under 18 >.>;. And it made you hate the monstrous villains in there. I didn't feel like committing suicide or being violent, I just watched a powerful movie.
If sex encompasses the entire work, porno, it's not really...
I'll just say a lot of it isn't pleasing to the eyes (in fact, the NS rape scene should be tame compared to what they freakin show in porn...). Or, maybe it's so bizarre, it can make me laugh. Sex isn't degrading; it can be beautiful or/and clever, but..but...
I don't know. This isn't a topic that I'm good in. And I learned that I have too much trouble defending myself when it comes to what I believe in. That's if, what I "believe" in has any connection to reality. I got my intelligence insulted too much. What does this mean? Why does my thoughts get mixed up so much?
Annnnnnnnd it looks like I got to pay for books for my NOOK huh? Hahaha. Of course.
