Sad/Furious Holiday in America

Sorry for going from posting a funny entry to a melancholy one.
I was going to post about it yesterday, but I guess I was occupied. Or maybe it bothered me too much.
Elem. School Massaacre in Connecticut
Especially listening to the kids explain what they saw and heard.
Makes me want to join the police.
I couldn't help but think "why" and "That is quite a shame". I think in MOST cases, children fatalities in school, of that age, happens because children bring a gun to school (edit: To show off). Not because of a raid from an adult; you don't think that someone is going to come in and shoot. That Adam guy had a ton of ammo...what was he thinking?!
It was a raid, and they were children. The U.S President said it better, "They had their whole lives ahead of them".
I also couldn't help but think about my baby niece, who I already feel is potentially in trouble because of her "mom" and the people that she associates herself with. She's not in school, but she likes being around with other people and having fun.
Another thing that bugs me, it's like I hear/read it everytime. Shooters or crime instigators are often described as "reserved" and "quiet", or "wouldn't hurt anyone".
Does that mean I'm a potential killer? Because I don't speak much?
As for my week, I had a break for the first half of the week; second half is house construction. A little difficult; also, tune-up for my awful car.
I'm still quite concerned about employment. If I want a really nice b-day gift, it's to help my mother. And I had the biggest brain fart yesterday. It just proves how hasty that I can be and makes me worry.
