Rights and Wrongs about NARUTO
Oct. 25th, 2008 05:18 pmHi I'm back, sick and all from a cold (aching ears, throat, etc), and trying to recover. So I've been resting much.
I had something on my mind -- how to develop a proper argument? Been going on YouTube and there were people making videos complaining about NARUTO, and how "anime sucks", etc. Some of their complaints are unfair? "Their music is the worse in the world?" What proof is there? I LIKE music.
Or "Japan sucks because their racist towards foreigners", which is very understandable. Oh, but so is America.
NARUTO? I've been attracted by the wonders of ninja/shinobi since I was younger. I even recently came up with an idea on writing about them in history.
Saying that NARUTO doesn't look like a ninja and that it's about stealth and such IS FAIR.
Why is Japanese history and a being of various interpretations arrest my attention so much? That is good question. My watching of anime or anything Eastern related would eventually lead to me being curious about how the things I've watched/seen are composed together.
I like some anime because I like cartoons. Easy, eaaaaaaasssy; I don't think you can bitch about that. It doesn't have to be the best. Matter of fact, there has been many many times where I can't find myself watching entire anime series. Maybe it's boring, doesn't suit my fancy, too cutesy, too slow, I need a good hook.
I find Mobile Suit Gundam 00 generic but okay to follow because it's close to current real-life events.
I like NARUTO, but....
( NARUTO rant cont )
