Hyuuga Siblings
I didn't think the cutey would beat Konoha's #1 rookie but that's not the point. I thought the fight was special, not because it was between two Hyuuga siblings, but it was because of Hinata's determination. To me, she's like the only one who behaves 12 (or perhaps younger) in the series. She's so shy, even in front of Naruto - I really enjoyed the scene when she was tentatively trying to give Naruto the ointment for his wounds (after the battle with Kiba and Akamaru). She's adorable, you know she is. Although she's Hyuuga, often she seems to depress her energies, her noble birthright and is unlike Neji who's cold and wishes to continue forward. Hinata's a kind girl; Neji just tormented her verbally before the fight, reading her physical emotions as she suffers internally from pessimism...or angst. Up until Naruto cheered for her. Naruto = role model.
Hinata was more like myself. She LOOKED like she didn't want to be acknowledged but deep inside, she feels like she wants to try hard; Kurenai-sensei observed (in a flashback) that Hinata at times works hard to change the impressions she has towards others.
She watches Naruto because she adores him, and they're both similiar: They were seen as 'weak' and were most of the ignored...but one day, they're show they're true colors. I did feel a bit heartbroken that Hinata loss - she was nearly killed by Neji. What made Neji tick at that one last moment? Hinata was defeated, and she asked Naruto 'if she changed a bit'.
I thought to myself, "Yeh. You really did. You did good." Perhaps her own father of the Main House, wouldn't shun her anymore....if he saw that match.
Lee vs Gaara
Lee-san is a fiery fellow. I think I got a bit emotional at the last episode. I don't remember from what: I think from the impression that Lee (at THAT time) looked like he was never going to be a ninja again, and he pushed himself SOOOO to the limit, just to win and prove that he could defeat the sand vilage's most feared ninja. THIS was a GREAT battle folks! He had weights, speed, strength, concentration.
Also during the fight, we get a glimpse of Lee's past via flashbacks. He was teased (ie: Fuzzy eyebrows) and as well not acknowledged by few. He couldn't perform ANY ninjutsu (not even henge) or genjutsu....but Gai believed he could become great. Lee pushed himself to become great. He became a ninja just under taijutsu solely. Most people are under the impression that one is a ninja when able to perform all jutsus (Gen, tai and nin) but Lee seems very special.
I think I really got inspired from this battle: a ninja is a 'great person', a soldier, one who performs tasks and protects those in need of assistance. What are your opinions?
BOOGIE NIGHTS
Okay! My thoughts on "Boogie Nights", a movie about a fella's (his name was 'Dirk Diggler') ups and downs in the...Pornography film industry during the 70s and 80s. Yep, XXX. This was rated 'R" and not a full-fledged 'Adult' movie which I just can't frickin' stand. What I thought was cool is that they acted out some 'adult scenes' like from a real 'adult movie'. Yes, they act....and I wonder if pornograpghy cinema and "mundane" cinema are parallel?
I ask this because I think I remember the scene when this one black dude was trying to get a new job (I think) but was declined because he had a career in porno? Is porno like an 'underground' thing? Can someone clear this up?
I think those 'adult movies' are so dumb..BUT acting IS involved. You know what I thought was cool? When Dirk gets his first role and he must walk into the office. He said he had his lines ready, but you could FEEL the tension when he was preparing for his cue. I know that feeling..x-x; It's like, "I can do it, I can do it, I can do it."
Um, speaking of jobs. I thought it was cool that Dirk got fired by his director (played by BURT REYNOLDS!! AHHH ^___^). I found it cool because it was an important scene. He was getting addicted to drugs and he was beseeching his director to film him NOW, and not in 20 minutes. It got out of hand and Burt Reynolds casted him out. Dirk also tried to get into the music business but the fella needed money for...something, I think the demo tapes (I think they wasted it on drugs u-u;), NO EXCEPTIONS. Things I learned:
- Don't argue with your VETERAN boss
- Don't take drugs, because you might end up sticking with a friend who kills people
- Don't waste money on drugs or you just might not have enough to buy what you need
ALSO, how did Dirk get into the XXX business? I think (not the director) someone else hired him because..he has a big 'package'. Or he's into sex. I never saw the beginning so...x-x; But that too is important. WHen you have a HIGH interest in something, pursue it.

I saw 107..ummm, Friday or yesterday. We return to the 'manga arc', and soon I'll see Kiba in action again (with his new powerful jutsu ^.^). ALSO, finally, finally, see Shikamaru get promoted to "Chuunin". Congratulations Shikamaru! Lee also decided to risk the surgery; I thought Aoi was cute but like I said before, I don't like the fact that he makes Sasuke even more pissed. It was suppose to be Itachi, and Itachi alone.
"He managed to defeat that Aoi guy...but not me. Why him?! Naruto..."
Of course, the best part is when Sasuke and Naruto fight in the rooftop; Sasuke asking "What is that jutsu?" (Ie: The Rasengan) just annoyed me. It's definitely from the MANGA, but we all haven't forgotten the "fillers": Naruto abused that ball of chakra to death against Aoi.

- Alright! It's The 'history class' in anime. I am utterly annoyed by Konohamaru's missing tooth (he isn't very respectful isn't he? CUTE but can be disrespectful).

- AH, that cool bastard Gamabunta, his first appearence on anime (well, ep 56 actually)...and just how stupid is Naruto? He's never seen a frog before?
- Hmm, summons are scary; I am immediately reminded of Orochimaru's cute snake 'lord' Manda. The attitude, the demands, the size. He's just so mighty. And it's funny how Gama-sama can keep that kiseru pipe in his mouth. And he has a sword too, like a real pimp. I wonder who does his voice?
- Heh..Naruto works well with the ampibian rodeo. The scene when he's hanging onto Gama makes me think was a Nine-Tails a summon? Gama seemed free to do whatever he wished until Naruto intervened.
- Ah, the alliance treaty between the sand and the leaves. When it was signed, the county of wind (where the hidden sand village is located)'s feudal lord forced the Sand to reduce their weapons. The Lord became a client to Konoha and abandoned giving missions to the Sand Village; the village's budget has been cut as well, and many suna ninja were reduced. Because of this, the sand village had to raise the quality of their ninja individually. SO this all because of the irresponsibility of the head master; The Kazekage (Sand Village's leader) feared the weakness of the village and said that they must ally with sound to crush Konoha. Perhaps that way the Country of Sand shall be restored, and the Feudal Lord would 'return to his senses".
BAKI: "When the head is stupid, we, the arms and legs, have a hard time."
- There's been a war between Konoha and Sand before?
- Naruto is a toughy
- What's with the kazekage's blinds?
Episode 58
- Temari & Kankurou are irresponsible =p
- And we're off to the hospital....and sheesh, Naruto is a nut; everything to Shikamaru is 'troublesome =p What was that game Shika was playing?
- Hospital halls are scary....
- Chouji's in the hospital....I didn't think he was all that hurt from the prelims. Besides, he's been training and eating at the restaurant. He in there because of the stomach ache? What I miss?
- Creepy doors, creepy music
- I wish Gaara would leave Lee alone.
- Um...Yashamaru is sezy.
- I like the scene when Naruto punches Gaara and Shikamaru grunts, getting a bruise on his cheek...because you never knew that Gaara was caught by Kagemane no jutsu. For a second, I thought 'what happened'?
- I really like Chouji!
- Kazekage is evil. At Gaara's birth, his mother passed on and his father, Kazekage, used a jutsu to transplant an incarnate of sand called Shukaku (racoon?) into him, from a sealed kettle. Why? SO that he may be the most ultimate ninja ever. Kazekage taught him ninja techniques, but also tried to secretly assasinate him many times. He was both a gift and a threat - Gaara's a manifestation of fear ANNND when people fear, they wish to destroy before it gets too out of hand. Gaara says he only feels himself and only exists to kill.

- Alright, the chuunin exams are almost here.
- WOO! It's the old InoShikaChou group!; Shikato didn't know that Shikamaru was participacing in the main chuunin matches? u_____u;;;

- Why is Hinata...SO OKAY?!?! After the Neji fight, they made it sound like she was gonna die. How many times has she been hit in the chest again? I know it's been a month but still. Heh, she got good compliments from Naruto ^________^.
- AHHHHHHHHHH, IT'S KIBA!! WITH THE HOOD OFF! ^__^ Why does he sound so nasal?
- Ahh, Konohamaru! Omg, he loooked like a cutie at one point (with the beady eyes o-o;;) Err, I'm losing it. He's a cute little brat but why did Naruto listen to him?!?!?!? XD Ahhh, and the part where he shows the bull, Kono's eyes looked...F^*%^ up.
- That bull sucked...but I like the little video game sounds when the bull was about to charge. Sound like they're from "Super Hang-on" or something. Is Kishimoto a video game fan?

Oh Boy...'Tales of Symphonia"!!!
I'm attracted to Kratos, and I couldn't reach Crispin's character Regal ;_; (is he on the 2nd CD?).
I got pulled in, but I wasn't pulled in enough. If I was perhaps I would of stayed up for mass hours playing that darn game...YES, it was THAT good. The quest of an Angel, to restore the planet, and doggone it you want to restore the planet because the adventures keep pulling you in. When you open that first seal (fire), it's on. All these predicaments, events, curiossities, characters, I loved it. The mystery, and the voice acting (Cam Clarke *drool*). There's also HUMOUR! I like how Raine Sage smacks Llyod and Genis, Sheena falling into the trapdoor, etc.
Before I had to send the game back, I just unleashed the 'seal of wind' and was on my way to Luin I think - perhaps I might of been farther if I were more determined. *sigh*
I gotta buy that game or something. And you know what else? I rented Mega Man X: Command Mission along with "TOS"...but I was SOOO addicted by "TOS" that I only played the MMX game ONCE! x-x; Waste of money!! I stopped when I defeated that hippo boss (who thinks the VAing needs a bit of work? Especially Zero's?).
