Contiuning 30 Days of Seiyuu meme
Day 02:Your least favourite male seiyuu?
Looking over the days list, I wondered if I could properly answer some of these questions.
Since I am mostly tolerant, I can't say that I have a least favorite. There isn't a single seiyuu (english VAs, especially in anime dubbing, is another story) I don't think that I was dissapointed with. Least, not often.
How should I go with this?
I have a weak point in high-pitched girl characters sometimes at times; in addition, the soft sounding boys that, along with the girls, seem the prevail in animated shows. Mizushima Takahiro (水島 大宙) for boys for example. So, I get tired, and found myself not getting up-to-date with some of the new things.
I can jot down a few things disagreeable.
1.) Shiratori Tetsu (白鳥哲): I have a little trouble with dealing with this voice, especially during tension.
2.) Yoshino Hiroyuki (吉野 裕行): He took some growing into. When he he was picked for Kimblee for FMA, I was a bit skeptical (from the bass tone Ueda Yuji). It turns out he plays a lot of naughty or rascal boys. I was not expecting his voice for Shishigawara of BLEACH..o-O; Currently see him as Kidou Yuuto in Inazuma Eleven. Sometimes the high-tensioned or whiny voice can be grating.
3.) Suzumura Kenichi (鈴村 健一) I don't think he should play a bad guy. Boring ^^; He can be very soft-spoken, but if it's like a low moody guy or a dark rival, I have trouble handling it.
So now, I don't have "least favorites". Just small thoughts on quirks.
