Hi. Well, what's going on? I've been sick.
GAH! IT'S HOT!
It hurts to walk outside.
Health: Dad and me
I'm feeling better, and dad is occasionally in high spirits. Dad has bad blood circulation, which makes him tired, but he is doing good. He could've ended up worse I think. As for me, I don't think I've ever a felt a less stuffy throat in a long time. After getting over most of a cold, I bought a nasal spray. It seems to be doing its job. I am coughing less and I feel less phlegm; however, my throat is still sore and my voice is still hoarse. Today, especially today, it feels like I'm getting a lot of mucus again cause I clear my throat a bit more today.
I guess I still have some more fighting to so. Does my hoarse voice have something to do with it? Still, the less stuffiness is quite good.
My voice might take another week...
Andy Griffith and Me
Another American icon gone. Andy Griffith passed away on July 3rd. For a man with a long career, there would be too much to talk about. I used to watch both the Andy Griffith Show and MATLOCK, the latter being quite entertaining. Even though he's a lawyer, he's like a detective. Can't help but think that way when the events are surrounded by murders and he checks the scenes out. Matlock is also strong in deduction. Couple of things I liked about Matlock was his smarts and his attitude.
Because I haven't watched the Andy Griffith show in a long time, I can't remember. I used to watch reruns with my dad, but that theme song is quite memorable.
All my friends know the lowrider
I am contemplating on joining the SCCA.
Sailor Moon Returning
LINK: Sailor Moon Manga Gets New Anime Series in Summer 2013
Momoiro Clover, the group who did the ED for Pokemon: Black & White.
I did enough fangirling yesterday, so I'll just relax and express my thoughts on what a remake could mean. Cause the first show left an impression, I have my doubts. I am happy that a new Sailor Moon can emerge in this new day and age, but should it? This obviously isn't the 90s and the use of CGI has considerably increased. The animation and art may be relatively better, but how about the direction of the story? Maybe I should ask myself why I liked the old Sailor Moon? The first of its kind? Well, it's like Super Sentai, and I like the characters.
People talk about today being the "Moe Era", but aren't the Sailor warriors "moe"? I don't think Japan would do something stupid like make everyone look like Chiba Usa. That's what Pretty Cure is for and it still has an ongoing series. It's also pretty action packed.
I hope they keep the gag. That's definitely one of the things I liked about it. Also, the music. What is the new music going to be like? I loved the music, even in the awful English dub! ~_~; The dub retained the original music I think in Sailor Moon S.
The seiyuu (voice over). Of course, of course. It's probably...impossible to retain the former cast. At least, all of them. I only say that because of the tendencies I see in most shows. Aside from that, I think most of the casts are quite fine in returning to their characters. If not, they may either:
- Play the Senshi's/Scouts' parents. Parents in Japan or from their planets. For example, Mitsuishi Kotono being the new Usagi's mother or maybe even Queen Serenity.
- Play the villains. Whether the important ones, or the poor helpless victims.
It's still too early to talk about and worry over.
A what?
I'm watching GSN (Game Show Network), and there's something called a "Bible Competition"?
VID TIME!
Is anyone hungry? (Make sure you're not eating or are about to..just in case)
